G-Research PhD Prize in Maths and Data Science 2022 – Tübingen

We are proud to announce that G-Research will once again be hosting its annual PhD Prize in Maths and Data Science. We will be giving away an academic prize of up to £10,000 to the best PhD draft dissertation entered into the competition.

Who can apply?

Students in their ultimate or penultimate PhD years at either the University of Tübingen or the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (Tübingen), working across areas including but not limited to the following specialisms should apply:

  • Quantitative Finance
  • Mathematics
  • Computer Science
  • Statistics
  • Physics
  • Engineering
  • Machine Learning

When are applications open?

Applications are open now and will close on Friday 25th October 2022.

How to enter the 2022 PhD Prize in Maths and Data Science

To enter, send a 10-page excerpt of your draft dissertation, along with your CV and a cover letter to sophie.allisett@gresearch.com.

Your cover letter is vital to your entry and should:

  • Summarise your research and dissertation excerpt
  • Explain why your research is unique and how it will impact your field
  • Highlight your contribution to the paper, for example, notable elements such as first author

Applications close on Friday 25 October 2022. Entries submitted after that date will not be considered.
